The Safety Manager is a member of the plant leadership team and drives the safety culture and employee engagement at all levels across the organization.  The Safety Manager will collaborate with team members all functions of a manufacturing/distribution site.  The Safety Manager will have ownership of the company safety function and have the support of Senior Management. 
 

 

Responsibilities

Environment, Health and Safety

  • Owning, creating and driving a proactive culture of safety for growing manufacturing organization.
  • Organizing and controlling the Safety functions of the site in a collaborative manner to ensure that best in class accident prevention programs are created and maintained.
  • Implementing environmental, health and safety education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.
  • Investigating all releases, injuries and near-misses.
  • Maintaining the facility’s compliance records for permits. 
  • Managing the safety program to assure compliance with corporate audit protocols and ISO 9001,14001 and 45001standards. 
  • Identifying and evaluating hazardous conditions and practices and developing hazard control practices and programs.
  • Actively manage a contractor safety program to ensure compliance to corporate EHS standards.
  • Managing industrial hygiene programs.
  • Conducting periodic risk assessments of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions to ensure conformance to appropriate safety standards and regulations.
  • Keep current on regulatory changes

Senior Accountant (Remote)

We are in search of a dynamic Senior Accountant to join the talented finance and accounting team with a large, and continuously growing manufacturing company headquartered in Sacramento, CA. This Senior Accountant will report to the Corporate Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller and be a key member of the team responsible for contributing to all financial reporting including month-end close, audit, and tax filing processes. This role will drive customer profitability decisions by providing variance analysis commentary related to business results. This Senior Accountant will also support company budgeting, forecasting, tracking and reporting processes as well as other ad-hoc and recurring reporting and analysis as needed.

 

  • Develop annual budgets including sales, costs of goods sold, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and net working capital
  • Support accounting close processes – preparing monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and related journal entries, oversee controls over accounts payable and accounts receivables functions
  • Assist in sales reporting, the evaluation of costing and product margins, cost modeling, estimates vs. actuals, material costs, etc.
  • Assist in expense management – labor, benefits, waste, repairs, maintenance, sales commissions, other costs as needed.

MySQL Database Administrator & Architect

THE POSITION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the MySQL Database Administrator & Architect, you will play a mission-critical role in the design, architecture, and administration of Empower’s next-generation CRM database infrastructure. This is a highly collaborative position, in which you will work with senior members of the front and back-end development teams, as well as our Product Team and our CPTO (Chief Product & Technology Officer). The goal of this position is to allow for ingrained intelligence into our product (“EmpowerCRM”), classifying and making key record updates trackable, relatable, and searchable in a highly performant manner by relying on mostly open-source technologies and your excellent architectural and engineering abilities.

  • Work with existing, and build new, scalable database infrastructure.
  • Execute daily, hands-on database architecture, development, and tuning. This includes optimization and development of stored procedures, functions, events, and complex efficient data storing/fetching methods and systems.
  • Manage infrastructure and deployment with specialization in MySQL, AWS, RDS, ETL, JSON.
  • Task Tracking and Source Control tools including Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, and GitHub.

THE REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):

  • 2+ years of strong database architectural experience.
  • 6+ years of MySQL database administration.

THE LOCATION (REMOTE):

Our technical team is based in Pakistan, and this is a 100% remote position, reporting to our CPTO and working closely with our Product & Development teams. You must be able to work from home using your own home office with a reliable high-speed internet connection, along with a dedicated workspace and using your own computer equipment.

THE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Full-time position with Empower, 40 hours per week, with no other part-time side jobs.
  • Daily communication, as needed, with development and our CPTO during workdays, being highly available for instant messaging and video calls.
  • Quick response times to critical questions.
  • Overlap at least 4 hours with U.S. team from roughly 8am – 12pm (PST).

THE SALARY, PAID TIME OFF & HEALTHCARE BENEFITS:

This role pays from Rs. 700,000 to 950,000 per month (depending on experience), with 8 days holiday pay and 15 days annual paid leave. We also provide an additional annual stipend of Rs. 75,000 for healthcare insurance costs for individuals and families.
