Jr Business Intelligence Analyst (REMOTE)

A large manufacturing company headquartered in Sacramento, CA is seeking a motivated Jr Business Intelligence Analyst to fill a newly created role. The ideal candidate for this Jr Business Intelligence Analyst role will have a Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance, or Data Science with comprehensive understanding of BI concepts and practiced power query and ETL processes to assist within the Power BI Service. Reporting to the BI Manager and Corporate Controller, this Jr Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for: 

  • Supporting the building out the reporting and analytics functions that will translate data into insight
  • Assisting with data modeling and visualization in an effort to identify trends that will assist management in data driven approach to decision making, process improvement, and various reporting needs
  • Supporting the BI team leader with the company’s forecasting, budgeting, tracking, and reporting processes and other ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed
  • Collaborating with various cross-functional teams, gather, document, and develop reports and dashboards to meet business needs
  • Translating business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards
  • Analyzing functional business processes and requirement, and support development of business cases in the support of process changes and other projects
  • Developing financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance that influence business decisions
  • Preparing ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and analyses of business results and KPI
  • Preparing commentary, insights, and variance reporting for leadership
  • Providing technical assistance and cross training to other team members, and educating end users on data analytical tools.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must have Power Query / ETL experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business intelligence tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
  • Preference for SQL and DAX
  • Experience with data management including acquisition, mining, analysis, integrity, reporting
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Industry experience within manufacturing or consumer products preferred
  • Ability to assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision

Assistant Controller

Excellent opportunity for a Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller looking for a 6-month contract opportunity.  This position will work closely with the Controller to assist with day-to-day accounting as well as GL and month-end close functions.  Additional duties will include account reconciliations, review of past General Ledger activity and supporting work papers.

E-Commerce Manager

Main Responsibilities:

Chief Project Coordinator for an E-Commerce team made up on 5 interconnected “pods”:  Pulse of Customer, Pricing/Analysis, Onboarding, FBA and Branding.

  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and daily oversight of 10+ associates
  • Sole ownership for organizing, communicating, delegating and following up on all interdepartmental tasks.

 

Through the leads and their teams in each of the above pods:

    • Ensure the proper onboarding, listing and pricing of products on all platforms.
    • Ensure the E-commerce team is well versed in all listing and selling requirements and strategies on the individual platforms.
    • Promote the sale of our branded and commodity products through digital marketing strategies including keyword advertising.
    • Monitor all metrics to ensure we are exceeding all requirements and expectations of the individual platforms.
    • Collaborate with the Purchasing team to maintain comprehensive listing accuracy among all sales platforms.
    • Coordinate with customer service team to maintain high seller ratings by providing great customer experiences and listening to customer experiences.
    • Remain current with social media and other current web trends and practices.
    • Develop e-mail campaigns, on-line promotions and affiliate marketing.
    • Work closely with IT to implement web modifications and correct web bugs.

 

Requirements:

  • Prefer at least 3 years of Internet marketplace and management experience
  • Knowledge of listing and selling requirements and strategies on one of these marketplaces:  Amazon, Ebay and Walmart.
  • Digital marketing and keyword advertising experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Experienced in both managing multiple direct reports and working within a management team that reports to Operations Manager
  • Track record of dealing with seller ratings and metrics
  • Consistently communicates company directives in a professional manner (written, phone and in-person)
