Division President (Manufacturing) – $200k – $235k plus bonus

Position Overview:

The Division President is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations. The President plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, optimizing production processes, ensuring quality control, and achieving business objectives. This position requires a combination of strong leadership, business acumen, and technical expertise within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
    • Identify opportunities for growth, cost reduction, and operational improvements.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Ensure that manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Quality Control and Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Management:
    • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to manage inventory levels, supplier relationships, and ensure timely material availability.
    • Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks to prevent disruptions in production.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead a diverse team of managers, engineers, supervisors, and production staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.
    • Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to build a skilled and engaged workforce.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage manufacturing budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization.
    • Analyze financial and operational performance metrics to make informed decisions and drive profitability.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance:
    • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Stay current with industry regulations and standards to ensure the company’s compliance.
  • Innovation and Technology Adoption:
    • Identify and assess emerging manufacturing technologies that could enhance production processes, product quality, and efficiency.
    • Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to maintain competitiveness.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to understand customer needs, address issues, and provide timely solutions.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, ensuring their requirements are met.
  • Communication and Reporting:
    • Provide regular updates to the executive team and stakeholders on manufacturing performance, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Communicate effectively across departments to align goals and strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred). Proven experience in manufacturing operations, with a track record of progressively increasing leadership responsibilities. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality management systems, and process improvement methodologies. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and manufacturing software. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends.
