Our client, a well-established legal practice specializing in defense litigation, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a strong background in criminal defense. This position involves managing a comprehensive caseload that includes both misdemeanor and felony matters. Key duties include court representation, handling DMV-related proceedings, participating in preliminary hearings, and preparing and submitting relevant legal motions.

Responsibilities

Represent clients in criminal matters across misdemeanor and felony cases

Conduct appearances in court and DMV proceedings

Handle preliminary hearings and advocate during key procedural stages

Draft and file motions and other legal documents

Collaborate with internal teams on case strategy and client advisement
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

Active license to practice law and admission to a U.S. state bar (California preferred)

Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents and arguments effectively

At least one year of experience in criminal defense or similar litigation practices
Preferred Skills

Job Type: Full-time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid remote, based near Riverside, CA
Compensation: $100,000 to $125,000/yr salary.
