Summary:
Our Client is seeking a Sr. Network Cloud Engineer I with strong AWS and cloud networking experience. This position reports to Manager of Network and Telephony and subject matter expert (SME) for cloud networking, within and on-prem to cloud connectivity (VPNs, Direct Connect, SDWAN integration, etc.).
Years of Experience: Minimum six (6) years in a related field.
· Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud fundamentals and networking aspects.
· Must be strong with traditional networking within Data Centers, Campus, and Branch connectivity Router, Switch, Wireless, Load Balancing, Firewalls).
· AWS direct connects, VPCs, Transit Gateways, SGs, ALB/NLB.
· DNS and Route53 experience.
· Active Directory, on-prem and cloud experience a plus.
· CloudWatch / CloudTrail.
· Next-gen firewalls (IDS/IPS, DLP, Content Filtering, Anti-malware, DDoS, etc).
· SIEM & SYSLOG.
· SFlow/NetFlow/Flowlog.
· Cisco ISR/ASR Routers, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switches.
· Cisco Wireless.
· F5 Load Balancers and AWS ALB/NLB Load Balancers.
· Spanning-Tree.
· Port-channeling and Nexus vPCs.
· BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Routing.
· Management and Monitoring Tools experience.
Job Duties:
· Maintain persistent involvement in the organization’s migration to the cloud and any future cloud initiatives.
· Participate in the identification, implementation, and support of tools and processes that will allow the organization to effectively manage the on-prem and cloud networked environments.
· Ensure availability, scalability, and security requirements are met with on-prem or cloud deployments.
· Stay current in latest cloud trends, best practices, and service offerings.
· Work with other systems and security teams to operationally support the cloud environment and troubleshoot and resolve critical issues.
· Maintain cloud and on-prem infrastructure support documentation (IPAM, Diagrams, Standards, Policies & Procedures).
· Maintain DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and numerous third-party management tools (Cisco Prime/DNA, WhatsUpGold, Nagios, AppD, Riverbed, others).
· Act as a member of a larger networking team and support traditional route, switch wireless networking in the campus and data centers, and branch locations.
· Develop and maintain automation capabilities for network device deployment and other automation for routine tasks.
· Participate regular team and project meetings.
· Participate in disaster recovery preparations and failover testing exercises.
· Participate in vulnerability management and patching of on-prem and cloud-based systems.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or other related field preferred.
Certification:
•Cisco Certified Network Associate (or similar equivalent).
•AWS Architect Associate certification.
