Sales Representative – Transportation


Growing transportation company is expanding in the Charlotte market and looking to add a Sales Representative/Territory Manager.  The Sales Representative will ultimately be responsible for achieving sales growth throughout the Charlotte Metro area.  Key responsibilities include: responding and providing pricing, identifying and targeting new customers, implementing vertical market strategies, engaging in community business events, conducting optimization analyses, and proposing creative solutions for new and existing customers. This position will report to the EVP of Operations so it’s a highly visible role with growth opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
– Build an organically grown pipeline of new and existing customers
– Develop and close sales leads
– Develop and deliver customer presentations
– Retain and grow existing customer base
– Negotiate contract terms, contract structure, and product lines
– Develop proposals and build customer solutions
– Assist with the development of a corporate sales strategy
– Work to continuously update sales and marketing material in step service offerings
– Partner and collaborate with Operations
– Manage key administrative tasks
– Respond and provide pricing
– Monitor KPI’s for customer satisfaction

– Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of related work experience
– 3 or more years of successful sales experience with a proven winning track record
– Prior sales experience in transportation/logistics/supply chain

– Strong analytical skills – ability to assess, design, and sell a given solution
– Ability to communicate and negotiate
– Strong general business acumen
– Effective negotiation skills
